Unlearn Something

11. Happy Black History Month UK!

Unlearnsomethingpod

Hello and welcome back to Episode 2 of our second series.

Today, we will be delving into all things Black History Month in schools here in the UK.

Black History Month has been around for more than 30 years and some schools make a high difference and impact in educating their students and in the sommunity.

There is still a huge disparity in how Black History is taught in schools - there is not a lot included in the National Curricuulum - and coverage is usually left to individual schools and with boroughs. There is lots to discuss and lots to celebrate!

We will endeavor to share resources throughout the month of October and beyond. Get in touch if there is something you want to share or celebrate.
